1. Why take out a subscription?

With a subscription you can look forward to receiving your favourite magazine straight to your door, saving you the time and trouble of going to the shops to buy a copy. If you take advantage of one of our special discount offers a subscription will also save you money compared to the normal publication cover price. Don't forget subscriptions also make a great gift (see Gift subscriptions).

2. How can I order a subscription online?

Choose your publication(s) from the subscription or gift subscription home page. Select your chosen subscription offer and click 'Add to basket'. You will then be able to view your 'Shopping Basket'. If you would like to order any further subscriptions please click 'Continue shopping'. Once you have finished shopping simply click 'Checkout', where you will be asked to fill out your delivery details and method of payment.

3. How will my subscription be confirmed?

You will receive an email confirmation of your order within 48 hours.

4. When will the first issue of my subscription be dispatched?

After your order has been processed, your confirmation letter will be sent and this will include details about when your first publication will be sent to you. The next issue to be dispatched is displayed on the individual publication page, and is usually between 2-8 weeks, depending on the frequency of the magazine.

5. Do I have to sign for my publication each time it is delivered?

No, your publication will be sent through the normal post.

6. How do I renew my subscription?

You can renew your subscription online at any time. Simply click on Renew and sign in using your Web ID. This can be found on the address label with the magazine and on any written communication from us. If you choose not to renew online you will receive notification of the need to renew your subscription in enough time to ensure you don't miss any issues of your publication.

7. How do I notify you about a change of address?

If you have changed your address during your subscription period you can amend your details online. Simply click on My Account and sign in using your Web ID. This can be found on the address label with the magazine and on any written communication from us. Alternatively, you can send us an email or telephone us using the contact details on the Contact Us page.

8. Gift subscriptions

Subscriptions make the ideal gift for just about anybody. To give a subscription as a gift simply go to the individual publication page and click 'Buy a gift'. When we send you the written confirmation we will include a gift card for you to send to the gift recipient so that you can add your personal touch and retain the element of surprise. You will also have the option of choosing to send an e-card to your recipient.

9. What is included in the price?

Prices displayed include delivery costs and taxes (where applicable). Any discounts to the normal issue cover price will also be explained. If you pay for your subscription using any non-sterling currency the price you pay will be dependent on the exchange rate of your credit card company and may fluctuate.

10. Direct Debit

UK customers have the option to subscribe by direct debit. Depending on the publication, your payments will be spread into easy, manageable 6 or 12 monthly payments. As direct debit is a continuous payment method you are in complete control of your subscription as well as eliminating the need for renewal notices.

11. Is the online payment system secure?

Yes. We use SSL encryption software to keep the details of your order and credit/debit card information secure.

12. Can I order a subscription for delivery to an address outside the UK?

Yes. As the publications are despatched from the UK, higher delivery costs may apply for delivery to addresses outside the UK. These will be displayed in the price summary once you have selected the country to which you want the publications delivered. The prices displayed include delivery costs and taxes (where applicable).

13. What can I do if I do not receive an issue on time?

Please contact our customer services team using the information provided on the Contact Us page. Please remember to notify our customer services team if you change address.

What's new?

Classical Music has launched a brand new website at www.classicalmusicmagazine.org which will host all the content from the magazine, plus many more news stories, reviews and features. Its aim is to provide an up-to-date website containing all the news from the Classical Music industry - giving you even faster, easier access to what's going on.

In addition to the website and the magazine, we will be sending daily news round-up emails. These are put together by our editorial team and provide the best news from across the web: national newspapers, arts websites and international sources. In addition, we will continue to send the weekly newsletters that contain the best of Classical Music magazine's own news and articles.

Because the website and daily e-news will provide so much up-to-date news, the magazine will now become a monthly title, with a focus on features and reviews. It will be bigger than the fortnightly issues and come out at the beginning of each month.

If you don't currently receive the weekly newsletters, you can sign up at www.classicalmusicmagazine.org.

What are the benefits of the new website?

  • More frequent and up-to-date news stories
  • Classical Music's full range of features and reviews
  • Full access to all the Classical Music industry guides
  • An extensive Classical Music archive
  • Season brochures for major Classical Music concert series

How do I access the Classical Music website?

Digital edition subscribers

If you have bought your digital subscription through Pocketmags, iTunes or Google Play, you will not automatically have access to the website. To gain access you will need to upgrade your subscription - please send your billing confirmation from one of the above sources to classicalmusic@servicehelpline.co.uk and we will be in touch with information on your upgrade. Prices will vary depending on the length of your current subscription. Once you have upgraded you will be provided with your Web ID which you will need to use to register at www.classicalmusicmagazine.org.

Why has the number of issues on my subscription changed?

The number of issues on your subscription has changed because, due to the exciting new developments, we've made Classical Music magazine a more in-depth feature-focused monthly title, meaning that instead of 24 issues a year the magazine will be published 12 times. Your subscription length (in terms of months) has not changed. With the website, e-news and the new monthly magazine, you will be getting more coverage of the Classical Music industry than ever before. If you any further questions about this, please call us on +44 (0) 1795 856 0649 or email us on classicalmusic@servicehelpline.co.uk.

How far will the Classical Music online archive go back?

We will start with the latest issues, but over the coming months we will be adding more until we cover as much of the 36 years of Classical Music's archives as possible. If you have any special requests, please email classical.music@rhinegold.co.uk.

How do I contact you with any feedback on the website and new service?

If you have any questions or comments about the new website and Classical Music service, please send them to classical.music@rhinegold.co.uk.
